Made GroundedLargs Bay House began with a modest contemporary extension to the rear of the home, that was inspired by a love of timber and a rich, warm palette. The new addition honours these same sensibilities – handmade, ornate detailing of the original structure – while seamlessly continuing the artisanal craftsmanship of the original home. The design thoughtfully reimagines key entertaining spaces to reflect the owners’ passion for cooking and hosting.
Years later, the project’s second phase revitalized the remaining living areas and bedroom suites. Introducing a surprising colour palette and bold patterns, this phase injects vibrancy while preserving a sense of warmth.
At the heart of the interiors lies the clients’ passion for vintage modernist furniture, artfully combined with bold statement pieces and layered textiles. This fusion creates a dynamic dialogue between classic and contemporary styles, instilling the home with timeless elegance and distinctive character.
The result is a residence that perfectly balances heritage charm with a fresh, curated aesthetic—feeling both inviting and uniquely personal.
